Welcome to Seeds! I have been writing Seeds for ten years as I write these words. There’s no end in sight either. It’s fun. Originally conceived as a weekly gift from Sanctuary, a spiritual community I founded, writing Seeds has become a ritual in my writing life. I collect ideas year-round and then I write them twice a year—the week of Fourth of July and the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

Their form was inspired by short, pithy essays written by master metaphysician Emmet Fox. In fact, Dr. Fox never wrote a whole book. Instead, he wrote what he called “Sparks,” and compilers created his books from them. I liked the idea of a quickie “aha!” arriving in someone’s electronic in-box just before the weekend.
Each Seed arrives with the following reminder words . . .
Seeds are remarkable gifts. Sown in consciousness, they bring you to the most important part of your being—your Divine Spark.
And every year each Seed ends with a different closing.
It is my prayer that these little missives create recognition inside you and that they act as an inflammatory agent to turn your Divine Spark into a Divine Flame.
