On April 1st of this year, I joined the amazing medical team at Visions Medical Center in Wellesley, MA. The website is visionsmedical.com.

Never having been a fan of Western medicine myself, I was a little leery of Dr. Ed Levitan’s invitation to take my place on the complementary medicine team, but wow, have I been both humbled and educated. The doctors at Visions practice Functional Medicine, and is it different from traditional Western practice!

The coolest part of Visions is the willingness on the part of doctors and practitioners alike to admit that we don’t know how to solve every problem. The commitment is that, in coordination with our patients, we’ll work together to find out.

I am a true believer that all illness is spiritually-based. In working with the patients who come to me, we are able to find patterns of beliefs and behaviors that can be changed in order to work toward optimal health.

That’s a vision I can truly support!
